The Trinity Certificate in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is awarded by Trinity College London, one of the world's oldest and most respected examining boards. It is the qualification that opens the door to teaching English worldwide.

Unlike some TEFL qualifications that can be taken entirely online, CertTESOL requires observed teaching practice with real students — meaning you graduate with genuine classroom experience, not just theory.

120+ Guided Learning Hours

A minimum of 120 hours of guided learning, including input sessions on language awareness, teaching approaches, lesson planning, and classroom management.

6 Hours Observed Teaching Practice

Minimum 6 hours of assessed teaching practice with real English language learners. Observed and assessed by qualified external assessors from Trinity.

Teaching Portfolio

Build a professional teaching portfolio including lesson plans, teaching materials, reflective journals, and peer observations — evidence of your growth as a teacher.

Job Placement Assistance

On completion, our team helps you find teaching positions. We have connections with language schools across Europe and can advise on CVs, interviews, and your first teaching contract.
